Canonical Museum

The Canonical Museum is housed inside the Cloister of the Cathedral of Verona and its rare collections consist of donations by canons and private people.

Such collections includes archaeological materials, frescoes, furnishings and objects of worship ranging from the Roman period to the eighteenth century. There are also precious works of sacred art by illustrious people, such as Nicolo Giolfino, Felice Brusasorci, Paolo Farinati, Giambettino Cignaroli, and Liberale da Verona.

The different halls contain the religious history of the city, with charming environments dating back to different periods, decorated with lovely frescoes. From Romanesque allegories to Renaissance majesty, it also includes images of imperial eagles and griffins, or glimpses of the perfection of earthly and celestial globes.
